NE&C provided Quality Control for the Construction Manager Whiting-Turner Company during the construction of a seven-story building to be used as a Bachelor Enlisted Quarters. Northeast Engineers & Consultants, Inc. (NE&C) provided a full time structural engineer during the steel erection phase and a full time architect for the inspection of all interior work. NE&C sampled and tested materials for suitability and all the borrow and selected mineral products. The foundation was tied to the base rock with 1 1/8" tendons for seismic protection. The testing on the tendons was supervised by NE&C. All form work and reinforcing steel placement was inspected and approved by our site engineer. All concrete was sampled and tested in our laboratory. Structural steel and welding was inspected and approved by NE&C.
