NE&C has extensive experience in designing and repairing piers and wharfs for large naval facilities, exclusive resorts, and private clients. Our designs include timber and concrete piers for use in berthing large ships of all types, and both steel and timber bulkhead wharfs. NE&C also performs structural inspections of bulkheads and piers to determine required repairs, improvements, or to assist in preparing capital improvement/ asset management plans. A wave analysis report is prepared for all sites by our waterfront and coastal engineers to ensure that proposed structures are properly designed to withstand the harsh environmental conditions present at any coastal site. All structures and repairs are then designed and implemented in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
